JYJ member Park Yoochun was recently blackmailed by a woman known as Kim, who claimed to be in possession of a mobile phone that belonged to the singer’s ex-girlfriend.
According to Korean media, Kim picked up the phone in February and blackmailed Yoochun’s agency for KRW 100 million (approximately S$120,000). She also threatened to expose the singer-actor’s personal number, and the text messages and “intimate photos” of the ex-couple.
Stating that Yoochun has “nothing to hide”, the company immediately made a police report and worked with investigators to nab Kim, who was arrested when she showed up at a café to receive her “blackmail money”.
Additionally, Yoochun’s agency said that the Rooftop Prince star is currently busy with the filming his new drama Three Days and is thus unaware of the situation. The representative also requested the media not to over-exaggerate the reports or to reveal the phone’s contents without permission.
