Chinese singer Sandy Lam is slated to wed Hong Kong drummer and singer songwriter Jun Kung, whom she has dated for three years.
Sandy even praised her fiancé, who is 11 years her junior, for being a “beautiful person”.
Sources revealed that Jun had proposed to her in April 2012, on the eve of her birthday. He had sung and played the guitar for her before popping the question. But at that time, their relationship was not approved by her daughter Xi Er – whom she had with her ex-husband, Taiwanese record producer Jonathan Lee – so Sandy rejected him.
Subsequently, Jun took the initiative to know Xi Er better, playing sports, drums and the guitar with her every day, and soon gained her trust and approval.
He then proposed to Sandy again in August during a party, and was accepted.
Sandy told a close friend that she wants Xi Er to be a witness for this important occasion, and intends to ask her to be her bridesmaid.
