SAM Armytage has spoken about her rumoured romance with Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet, saying he is “definitely not gay in real life”.
The Sunrise host was quizzed on the Seven morning talk show today by co-host David Koch who teased her about their long lunch in Sydney last month as revealed by News Limited yesterday.
“Can I say publicly that Samantha has denied any allegations of a romance … it was just a five-hour lunch,” Koch said.
When asked about details of the private rendezvous the 36-year-old said she was not giving anything away.
“No I’m not going to tell you, it’s none of your business,” Armytage exclaimed.
“It was lunch, it was fine, it was lovely.”
When asked about his convincing portrayal of out, loud and proud gay character Cameron Tucker, and it being hard not to think he was “not being gay in real life”, Armytage set the record straight.
“He’s definitely not gay in real life,” she said.
Sam continued to be evasive to Kochie’s probing questions.
“I’m not going to tell you everything we talked about for five hours,” she said.
“He’s a lovely man, very funny, very lovely, very different.
“He’s a likable bloke.’
Stonestreet was in Australia with the Modern Family cast last month as they filmed a special holiday episode of their hit Channel Ten show.
