Taiwanese host Patty Hou gave birth to a 3kg baby boy via caesarean section at Taipei Chung Shan Hospital on Monday. According to her company, Patty was told by her gynaecologist that she could deliver the baby “anytime” when she went for her routine check-up last week.
The 36-year-old then arranged for the C-section to be done on Monday night, approximately one week before her due date. Throughout the procedure, Patty was accompanied by her husband, sales trader tycoon Ken Huang, who recorded the delivery process with his phone.
The couple was moved to tears when they met their newborn child, whose features are said to resemble his father. The adorable baby boy, who is currently nicknamed “little buddy”, reportedly looks like his mum when he smiles.
Sharing her bliss of becoming a first-time mother, Patty revealed a photo of the baby’s footprint via her agency yesterday. The popular host will spend the next month at a confinement centre, before resuming work in December.
