Last month, Mandopop superstar Lee Hom announced that his wife, Lee Jinglei, was five-months pregnant. At the celebratory party after the final show of his three-year-long Music Man II world tour yesterday, the singer admitted that the couple has found out the baby’s gender, but refused to divulge further.
“Everyone will know about it later, anyway,” said Lee Hom, who will be setting work aside to accompany his wife when she delivers in August.
While speaking to reporters, the father-to-be also claimed to have turned into a chef at home. “I’m not good at cooking, so I have to search for recipes online,” he quipped.
During his concert at Beijing National Stadium (also known as the Bird’s Nest), Lee Hom performed a new song titled “One in Seven Billion”. The lyrics read: “Thankfully you didn’t catch the plane, or I wouldn’t have met you.”
Although some fans assumed that this is the love story of Lee Hom and Jinglei, the multihyphenate denied so, saying, “I didn’t write about myself. [The song] is about fate.”
