Taiwanese actor-singer Jerry Yan attended the premiere for his latest Japanese movie Lupin III on Monday in Tokyo alongside co-actors Shun Oguri, Tetsuji Tamayama, Gō Ayano, Meisa Kuroki and Kim Joon.
Speaking about his role in the movie which is based on a Japanese manga, the 34-year-old, who plays Arsène Lupin III (played by Shun)’s archenemy Michael Lee, finally realised the difficulty of action scenes.
Director Ryuhei Kitamura also playfully revealed to the near-4000 attendees that Jerry had requested him to “introduce pretty Japanese ladies to him”.
“Don’t be deceived by his model-student looks and answers. In private, he has expressed his wish to make friends with pretty Japanese ladies. It is very brave of him but sadly, there are not many actresses in this film, so I can’t help him,” Ryuhei said, as Jerry nudged him lightly to hide his embarrassment.
Additionally, Shun shared that he had lost 8kg for the role of Arsène Lupin III and had a few English lines in this movie.
“I will be able to know if the audience can accept my performance right after the premiere and I’m pretty nervous,” he said.
