Jaycee Chan, the only son of Hong Kong star Jackie Chan, was arrested on Tuesday night together with Taiwanese actor Kai Ko for taking marijuana. The Chinese police have also found more than 100 grams of marijuana in Jaycee’s possession during a raid.
The process, which was recorded on video, saw the 31-year-old facing the interrogation unprepared and trembling while holding a box of marijuana.
Jackie has reportedly halted his activities and headed to Beijing yesterday to handle this matter. Yesterday, CCTV also released the news that Jaycee has admitted to using drugs for the past eight years.
If he is convicted of drug possession, he may face a maximum penalty of life imprisonment.
In addition, the mansion which Jackie had gifted Jaycee caught the eyes of many in the video, as it was the first time the interior of the building was exposed.
Located at Dongzhimen, Beijing, the eight-storey infrastructure was designed by a famous Taiwanese interior designer Qiu Deguang and is now worth NT$800million (approximately S$33.8million), four times more its original value when Jackie first purchased the first floor in 2006.
