Bell, a member of Thai girl group China Dolls, recently announced that she tied the knot with her boyfriend Phatti Punyasukhananda (nicknamed “Nonn”), who works in the RD department of an oil company, last year. The singer is currently seven months pregnant, and the couple is expected to welcome their baby boy in May.
Comprising of Bell and Hwa Hwa, China Dolls first debuted in 1999. According to the girls, the duo’s name was inspired by their “phoenix eyes” which made them look distinctively Chinese.
Their first album Muay Nee Kah was so well-received in Thailand that a Mandarin version was subsequently produced and released in Taiwan, Hong Kong, China and Southeast Asia. China Dolls’ hit track Single Eyelid Girls propelled them to overnight fame, and the duo remained active in the industry until Bell left the group in 2005.
After leaving showbiz, Bell, who started dancing at a young age, established her own dance studio in Thailand and provided training for local artistes. Meanwhile, a new member Dan Chun replaced Bell in China Dolls.
Last year, Bell made a comeback by reuniting with China Dolls. While speaking to the media, the 32-year-old thanked her fans for remembering the group. When asked if the mum-to-be would be heading to Taiwan to develop her career, her manager hinted that “everything is possible”.
