On Saturday, Taiwanese actor Blue Lan addressed the media for the first time since he registered his marriage with actress Jade Chou in May, at a promotional activity for his new idol drama Sister.
According to the 35-year-old, he was so engrossed in his role that he “mentally cheated” on Jade with his onscreen partner Amber An, whom he shared many intimate scenes with. “I even told Jade to move home because I felt bad seeing her after filming [those scenes],” Blue confessed.
During the event, Blue, who used to be a man of few words, appeared to have become chattier after tying the knot. “Sister is the last drama where I can get chummy with the female co-stars,” he laughed.
While speaking to reporters, the actor let on that he deliberated for some time before deciding to settle down. Blue, who was previously a nonbeliever in marriage, finally made his decision when he visited a club and witnessed the unpleasant sight of girls getting wasted.
The newlyweds recently returned to Jade’s hometown in Kaohsiung to visit her parents, which was only Blue’s third meeting with his in-laws. “I can’t even bring myself to call them ‘Mum’ and ‘Dad’. We are really not that close,” he said.
In addition, Blue also revealed the couple’s plans to travel to Europe for a one-month honeymoon in August, though the wedding banquet will only be held next year. As for babies, the actor would “let nature take its course”. “We’ll have as many kids as we can [make],” he added.
